General Service and Inspection Fees
Lappan's are a service center for most brands of outdoor power equipment. We offer safety inspection, general service and repairs for all brands we sell as well as others with the lawn and garden, commercial and compact utility industry.

We are requested to look at an amazing amount of many brands and ages. A constant apprehension our write up and service technicians have is making the owners aware that some repairs exceed the value, based on replacement costs. An example: a customer brings in a twelve year old hand held blower that's not running as it should. Most problems are fuel or electric concerns. Our service technicians are charged out at $70.00 per hour. After determining the unit has fuel problems and needs a carburetor take down, which could run up the service cost to $50.00. Add some carburetor parts and put it back together would exceed practical repairs versus a new hand held replacement.

Regular service and maintenance by the owner will enhance performance and long life. Neglect service and maintenance and your equipment investment will lose value.

Estimated service and repairs at the write up counter are base on the following: $100.00 for hand held and push mowers, $150.00 for snow blowers and generators, $200.00 for lawn tractors, $250.00 for lawn and garden tractors and zero turns mowers and $300.00 for compacts utility. Most services and or repairs that exceed the above values will be notified and quoted repairs.
